YO!
My family and I caught U2 on tour last night! What a great show! If you've seen it, then you know the gargantuan stage that looks like a cross between Alien with crab legs. What a show.. if you've ever seen U2, then you know they put on a great concert. The opening band, MUSE, was quite good. Good enough that I want to hear more.
The exciting book news is that there are two special editions of Joe Hill's next novel, HORNS, that both contain special extras not featured on any other book release ON THE PLANET! Okay.. maybe a little dramatic, but it's the truth :-).
I will only have a few of these to offer, so please order early.
We have a copy of Peter Straub's very rare A SPECIAL PLACE listed below, along with a rare copy of Matheson's He Wanted to Live with a Signed photo by this wonderful author. Last this week we have a UK paperback sale on RELICS by Shaun Hutson, and fans of Edward Lee and Jack Ketchum already enjoy this author's work.
The 2010 King Calendars have arrived and are shipping this week. Also, we're shipping the new Stephen King Illustrated Companion Collector set with the signed plate by Bev Vincent - this is one you'll want to have! See last e-mail or visit our Stephen King Newsletters kept online at the Overlook to read more: http://tinyurl.com/y93l95x

HORNS - SIGNED LIMITED EDITION.
by Joe Hill.
1 of 300 Signed Limited Hard Cover editions.
Featues a deleted chapter NOT in the trade hard cover release.
Original cover and interior color plates by Vincent Chong.
OVERVIEW: Ignatius Perrish spent the night drunk and doing terrible things. He woke up the next morning with one hell of a hangover, a raging headache . . . and a pair of horns growing from his temples. Once, Ig lived the life of the blessed: born into privilege, the second son of a renowned American musician, and the younger brother of a rising late-night TV star, Ig had security and wealth and a place in his community. Ig had it all, and more - he had the love of Merrin Williams, a love founded on shared daydreams, mutual daring, and unlikely midsummer magic. Then beautiful, vivacious Merrin was gone - raped and murdered, under inexplicable circumstances - with Ig the only suspect. He was never tried for the crime, but in the court of public opinion, Ig was and always would be guilty. Now Ig is possessed with a terrible new power to go with his terrible new look, and he means to use it to find the man who killed Merrin and destroyed his life. Being good and praying for the best got him nowhere. It's time for a little revenge; it's time the devil had his due.

A SPECIAL PLACE: The Heart of a Dark Matter.
By Peter Straub.
Signed Limited Edition.
OVERVIEW: A Special Place, the Heart of A Dark Matter, once a part of the manuscript that became A Dark Matter, is probably the most deeply unsettling work of fiction Peter Straub has ever written. Like most of Straubs ruminations on the nature of evil, it centers on a boy, but in this instance, the boy is not a victim. Keith Hayward is drawn by his nature and genetic inheritance to an irresistible fascination with death and the takng of life. His fathers brother, good-looking, suave Uncle Till, who has had a carrer as a local serial murderer known as The Ladykiller, recognizes his nephew's inmost nature and gleefully tutors him in the techniques of doing ill to other creatures without getting caught. Even a cold-blooded socipath must learn some lessons in survival and it amuses Uncle Till to provide them. All of this takes place in that fertile forcing-ground of madmen and serial killers, Milwaukee.
Borderlands Press hardcover. Signed limited edition. Although stated to have 250 copies, apparantly the print run had some issues and it's only about 150 copies that were released. New with protective book cover.
